Laser Developers Limited (incorporated in 1994) was the company that set the way for the current operation under Tanink Ghana Limited. Laser Developers (now Supply and Services Ghana – SSG) main line of business was the sale of spare parts for heavy-duty equipment.

By the end of 1997, substantial volume of sales had been made and the company had made a name for itself through the provision of excellent after-sales support for various machines (cargo handling, earthmoving, etc.).

In 1998, Tanink Ghana Limited was also incorporated and authorized to carry on business as general merchants and manufacturers representatives. The dealership for Terex/O&K Mining – manufacturers of mining excavators and dump trucks, was acquired and by dint of hard work and excellent after-sales service support, the company became a leading supplier of mining excavators in Ghana.

In the year 2000, due to Tanink’s excellent track record in service delivery for Terex/O&K Mining and customers, CASE of France and Astra Veicoli of Italy appointed Tanink as their local agents for Ghana and West Africa.

Fiat Auto – Italy, after careful evaluation of Tanink’s business profile, achievements and infrastructure, appointed it as the exclusive agent for the sale and services of Alfa Romeo. Currently, Fiat is supported alongside the Alfa Romeos.
